Pictured in the company workshop in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire are the Hargreaves Lock Gates team. This blog is by way of an introduction as we start to blog and Tweet about the projects we will be working on up and down the waterways and canals. Hopefully people will find them interesting and follow us.
Pictured from left to right are; Ryan Slater, Michael Murray, Phil Taylor, Nigel Lord, Charlie Streets and Grant Hayes.
They are leaning on a set of gates in progress which are destined for the Huddersfield Waterfront Canal upgrade works on behalf of Kirklees Council. Hargreaves Lock Gates are sub-contracting to Clugstons for this project.
In a couple of weeks they’ll be installing both Head and Tail gates at Wallbridge. Land and Water are the main contractors undertaking the chamber restoration, on behalf of the Stroud District Council and the Cotswolds Canal project.
In January the team will be installing flood gates at Ebley, also on behalf of Stroud District Council and the Cotswold Canals Trust and sub-contracting to Galliford Try.
